Joann was such an incredible support to us throughout pregnancy, labour, and postpartum. Our baby is 6 months old now and when I think of his birth, I remember how amazing it was to have Joann there. I had a planned c-section after a very traumatic delivery with my first, so I knew I wanted a doula by my side, but also to support hubby in case he needed it. Throughout pregnancy, Joann was a cheerleader, always there to talk. When our little guy decided he couldn’t wait until his planned c-section date, Joann pivoted and met us as at the hospital as soon as we needed her. She came with her bag of tricks (lol) to help me through labour (a labour I wasn’t anticipating because of the scheduled c-section), which progressed so quickly, and she was so great at ensuring both myself and hubby were supported where and when we needed. She took beautiful pics too and stayed with us until we were settled in our room. The overnight visits were a game changer, too! We love and appreciate Joann, and couldn’t imagine what the experience would have been like without her! I’ve given birth without a doula, and with a doula - having Joann there was the experience any mama deserves when having a baby <3

Joann is amazing! My husband and I were apprehensive at first about whether we would need a doula and I'm so glad that we found and connected with Joann. Her expertise and wealth of knowledge were greatly appreciated during my pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey. She was and still is a phenomenal source of support for my husband and I while we navigate our way through parenthood. Joann was instrumental in helping me and my husband prepare for birth. She is very kind, caring and informative. While we didn’t get the home birth I was hoping for and had to pivot to a c-section due to a breech baby, she was incredibly helpful and supportive for both avenues, including pre, during and post birth. From the moment my husband and I found Joann online, I knew she was the right doula for us. Having Joann as our Doula was absolutely the BEST decision we made. From day 1 Joann was incredibly supportive always there to answer our questions and guide us. She was a fountain of knowledge and just knew what to say when I needed some encouragement. My labour was quite lengthy and went from 0 to 100 quite quickly with some interventions but Joann knew what to do to help me and my husband through it. There will never be enough words to thank her. We are so thankful we had Joann at our birth and for pre and post natal care. Joann consistently checked in with us throughout my pregnancy and post partum; She was responsive and provided us the guidance we needed. During the birth she was present, knew when she needed to step back and when she needed to provide extra support. How she captured the pictures she did while literally holding my hand through every contraction and push, I’ll never know. Post partum she was so helpful, taking our baby so I could rest, doing the dishes, checking our car seats… literally doing whatever was needed. We couldn’t have done it without her and I highly recommend her. She’s worth every penny and more.

We hired Joann as our post partum doula, and of all the decisions we’ve made as new parents, this has been one of the best! Joann is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and knows how to anticipate our every need. The fact that she does days and overnights is such a luxury. (My mom friends are so jealous). Sleep is absolutely crucial to surviving the newborn stage, so being able to hand off baby to nap and then wake up to a clean kitchen, folded laundry and a happy, fed baby is life changing. As an anxious first time mom, having a top-notch doula as part of our support team has been integral to my survival. All our immediate family lives out of town and my partner travels for work, so an initial three week journey has quickly turned into 6+ weeks, with us still booking Joann for extra days when needed. My only regret is that we didn’t have her with us during delivery!

Joann was our labour and postpartum doula and she is absolutely amazing! My labour was 17+ hours long and Joann was right there providing her support at the beginning till the very end. I was in such good hands with Joann and it provided a sense of calm for my husband as well being first time parents. During my pregnancy as well, Joann would always check in to see how I was doing and I loved being able to message her with all of my random questions instead of googling answers on my own. She is very experienced and knowledgeable. Sleep deprivation is certain for all new parents and having Joann come on those nightshifts as a postpartum doula was such a nice break for us. We would have a solid 8 hours of sleep, confident that our baby was in excellent hands. We couldn't recommend Joann enough! We love her!

Hiring Joann was the BEST decision my husband and I made for our birth and postpartum journey. My birth was the perfect example of things not going as planned and Joann was there every step of the way with unwavering support. Her knowledge and passion for what she does is incredible. No amount of research I did could replace having Joann there for support. She made sure every decision we made was well informed and was there for the little things you don’t think of (my husband was able to leave the hospital and grab us food, parking etc. ) She continued to check up on us after birth and answer any questions we had. We hired Joann for postpartum support for the first two months of our daughter's birth. It was the best decision we made as Joann came to our place two nights a week and it allowed me to get extra sleep to take care of our toddler and baby the next day! Joann was always punctual and made my life so much easier by helping me stay organized in our kitchen and living area!
